Acceptable Use Policy

What this service does

Our service replaces text that is already part of an image. You point at words in a picture you upload, type what they should say instead, and we return an edited version of that picture.

Because the edit happens in the pixels themselves, the result is a modified image, not a copy of an original document or photograph. You should assume any image you produce here has been altered, and so should anyone you give it to.

We do not pre-screen your images by category

We do not refuse images because of what kind of document, screenshot, or photograph they appear to be. Invoices, receipts, forms, certificates, screenshots, price lists and scanned paperwork are all ordinary things people legitimately need to edit — for mock-ups, templates, localisation, redaction, corrections, teaching material and design work.

That means you decide what you use this for, and you carry the responsibility for that decision. The sections below set out what you are agreeing to.

Your responsibilities

By uploading an image you confirm that:

1. You have the right to use and modify it. You own it, you made it, you are licensed to use it, or it is otherwise lawful for you to edit it.
2. Your purpose is lawful where you are and where the result will be used.
3. You will not present an edited image as a genuine, unaltered record to anyone who would rely on it as authentic — an employer, a lender, an insurer, a landlord, a marketplace, a court, a government body, or a member of the public.
4. You will not use the result to obtain money, credit, goods, services, employment, benefits, or legal status that you would not otherwise be entitled to.
5. You have any consent you need from people appearing in or identifiable from the image.

Prohibited uses

You may not use this service to:

• Commit fraud or deception for gain, including altering financial records, receipts, invoices, statements, or proof of payment in order to mislead someone who will act on them.
• Forge or alter government-issued identity or travel documents, including passports, national identity cards, driving licences, visas and residence permits.
• Forge medical or professional documents, including prescriptions, medical records, test results, qualifications, transcripts, licences and certifications.
• Fabricate evidence for legal, disciplinary, insurance, regulatory or law-enforcement proceedings.
• Fabricate conversations, statements or communications attributed to a real person in order to deceive, defame, harass or extort.
• Create sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualises a real person without their consent.
• Impersonate a real person, business or public authority in a way intended to mislead.
• Infringe copyright, trademark or other rights you do not hold.
• Produce content that is unlawful where you are, or that we are required to prevent under applicable law.

This list describes categories of conduct. It is not exhaustive, and something being absent from it does not make it permitted.

How we enforce this

We do not review images before they are processed. Enforcement is reactive:

• We act on reports of abuse, and on notices from rights holders and authorities.
• We may suspend or terminate an account we reasonably believe is being used for a prohibited purpose, without refund of credits already consumed.
• We may preserve and disclose material where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate a credible report of serious harm.

We are not in a position to detect every misuse, and nothing in this policy should be read as a claim that we do.

Disclosure and provenance

Edited images may carry embedded provenance information indicating that they were machine-edited. Do not remove, strip, or defeat that information in order to pass an edited image off as an original.

Where the law requires AI-modified media to be labelled, meeting that requirement is your responsibility as the person publishing or supplying the image.

Retention

Uploads and results are deleted 48 hours after the job. You can delete a job sooner, which removes the stored file rather than only hiding it. Deletion does not affect records we are required to keep for billing, security or legal reasons.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes or as legal requirements change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Reporting misuse

If you believe an image produced with this service is being used to deceive or harm someone, contact us through the details on our contact page. Tell us what you saw and where, and we will investigate.
